Ayutthaya
Ayutthaya: the former capital of Siam for more than 400 years, Ayutthaya hosts many attractions of interest to tourists and historians. Now a World Heritage Site, the old Capital has many ruins located in a garden setting and remnants of European settlements; magnificent present-day temples abound. The Loy Krathong Festival, held on the full moon in November is a spectacle in Ayutthaya, particularly from a boat on the river. A wide range of riverside hotel and guest house accommodation is available.
